The next step up the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rank is the ” Colonel”. In the Colonel rank, you become a General and will be in charge of the entire military and the whole staff. As a Colonel you’ll also be able to receive the most money per day. As you progress, you will also receive an increased number of days of paid holiday per month.

Pay increase at this level are in accordance with the military’s index of cost of employment. This is a way to keep track of the rate of inflation of living costs. In areas with high cost index, the cost of living is expected to be greater than when the cost of living index is very low. This will result in an increase of the compensation of military members who are educated and have were promoted and received pay rises as those who are in lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in lower pay grades get no raise.

Officers with engaged and commissioned receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid as a Warrant Officer is determined by their actual commission ratings which is usually greater than the grade of their current star. At higher levels of command, such as Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers can receive promotions to Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all officers commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. Therefore, those who have previously been promoted to a General are eligible to receive a promotion to Vice Captain or Major.

The pay increases for Specialties go up in every couple of years. You must be in the top twenty percent of your class in order to earn the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these pay levels can apply to become surgical technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve completed the necessary number in years served and have reached the required promotion level.
