The next level up in the pay scale of the military is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rank is the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you become a General and be responsible for your entire army and whole staff. As a Colonel it is also possible to earn the most salary per day. Higher levels are entitled to an increased number of paid days of holidays per year.
Pay increases at this point are in accordance with the military’s cost of living index. This is a method to adjust for the inflation of the cost of living.
