An employment cost index determines an U.S. military pay scale known as The Allowable Rate. The index is found using the need for enlisted personnel as well as permanent personnel and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty personnel. After analyzing these variables, the rate is adjusted to give a rate that relies on the strength requirements for each group in order to guarantee a sufficient workforce. This is the method used to create a basic military wage which is later used in each branch.

The U.S army has its ranking method in operation. Its ranks are set with the help of First Lieutenant and above and include officers like Sergeants, lieutenants, Colonels and majors. Within the army, there are three levels classified from the highest to the lowest at the bottom of the rank chain. They are referred to as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

Another pay scale utilized within the army are the First Major First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant and then on. This ranks people in different categories of service within the different wings of the army. For example, individuals with lower rank in those in the Marine Corps will be considered officers placed in reserve or Officers Regular. On the other hand, those with higher ranks are classified as Specialists or Officers Special. In addition, those employed in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those who are in the Navy are classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rung is known as the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you become a General and will be accountable for the entire military and the entire staff. At this rank you’ll also be able to receive the most money per day. At higher levels, you are entitled to an increased number of days of paid leave per month.

Pay increases at this point are dependent on the cost of employment. This is a way to adjust for the inflation of living expenses. In areas with one with a high cost index, the cost of living is predicted to be significantly higher than when the cost of living index is very low. This causes an increase in the salaries of military personnel who have high educational qualifications and experienced similar promotions and pay increases that are comparable to those in lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in areas below their paygrade receive no additional pay.

Officers who have both engaged and commissioned receive an advancement to a Warrant Officer. The pay they receive when they reach this level is based on the actual rating of their commission, which is usually above the actual star. In higher ranks of command, such as Colonel, both commissioned, and enlisted officers will be eligible for an upgrade to Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers are eligible for general promotion. Therefore, those who have previously been promoted to a General are eligible to receive a promotion to Vice Captain or Major.

Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties will increase in every couple of years. It is necessary to be among the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to the Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialty pay grades can apply to become surgical technician, or Medical Assistant once they’ve had the number to years working and have completed the required level of promotion.
