Higher levels can expect to receive the most number of days of paid vacation per month.
Pay increases at this point are dependent on the cost of living index. This allows you to keep track of the rate of inflation in living expenses. When an area is characterized by high cost index, the cost of living is likely to be higher than when the cost index is lower. Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties rise at least every 2 years. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these pay grades can apply to become Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant after they have reached the required number that have served in the past and reached the minimum level for promotion.
