Army Language Pay Scale – The U.S. Military PayScale is the base salary scale for all personnel in the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales serve as the primary gauge for determining the amount of compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches using the military pay scale. Each of these branches has specific rules that define its pay grade. This includes bonuses and a special compensation for seniority.

The next level in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will be considered a General and will be accountable for the entire military and entire staff. At this rank it is also possible to earn the most salary per day. At higher levels, will be able to enjoy an increased number of of paid vacation per month.

Pay rises at this point are dependent on the military’s cost of living index. This allows you to adjust for the inflation in living expenses. When an area has an index that is high, then the cost of living is likely to be significantly higher than when the index falls. This can result in an increase in the wages of military personnel who have a high education and who have experienced similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in areas below their paygrade receive no additional pay.

Officers that are both an enlisted and commissioned rank get an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The salary they earn as a Warrant Officer is based on their actual commission rating and is typically above the grade of their current star. At higher levels of leadership, such as Colonel, both commissioned and enlisted officers are eligible for being promoted to Colonel. Following an upgrade to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. Therefore, those who have prior to that been upgraded to a General are eligible for a promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties will increase twice a year. You have to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialties pay grades can apply to become surgeon technician or Medical Assistant, after they’ve completed the required number to years working and have reached the minimum level for promotion.
