Each of these branches has specific requirements that determine their pay grade. This includes bonuses and a special compensation for seniority.
An employment cost index establishes how much the U.S. military pay scale called“allowable” Rate. At Colonel rank, you will be considered a General and will be in charge of all of the military and the entire staff. At this rank, you will also receive the highest amount of pay per day. Higher levels will also receive a number of days of paid vacation per month.
Pay increase at this level are determined by the military cost of labor index. This allows you to reflect the increasing of living costs. If a location has an index of high value, the cost of living is anticipated to be much higher than when the cost Index is not high. This will result in an increase of the wages of military personnel who are educated and have were promoted and received pay increments that are similar to those in lower pay grades. The ones who are promoted in areas below their paygrade receive no additional pay.
Officers who hold both a commissioned and enlisted rank receive an upgrade to Warrant Officer. The salary they earn at this rank is based on their actual commission rating that is typically higher than the rank of their actual star. In higher ranks of command like Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers are entitled to promotions to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned can be promoted to general. Also, the increments in pay for Specialties rise at least every 2 years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to the Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialty pay grades may apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant once they’ve completed the necessary number or years in service, and reached the required promotion level.
