U.S. military pay scales are used as a major measurement tool to determine personnel compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps are the branches which use the pay scales used by the military. Each of these branches has specific provisions that determine its pay scale. The next step up the pay scale of the military is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rung is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. In the Colonel rank, you will be considered a General and will oversee the entire military and the entire staff. At this level you’ll also be able to receive the highest amount of pay per day. At higher levels, are entitled to the most number of of paid holiday per month.
Pay rises at this point are calculated based on the army cost index for employment. This allows you to adjust for the inflation in living expenses. When a region has a high index, the cost of living is expected to be much higher than when the index is low. This causes an increase in the salary of military personnel who are educated and have experienced similar promotions and pay raises like those in lower paygrades. The ones who are promoted in areas below their paygrade have no pay increase.
Officers with in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid with this title is determined by their actual commission rating that is typically higher than the level of their actual star. When they reach higher levels of the command that include Colonels, both commissioned, and enlisted officers can receive advancement to the rank of Colonel. After a promotion to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned are eligible for general promotions. This means that those who’ve previously been promoted to a General will be eligible for promotions to a Vice Captain or Major.
The pay increases for Specialties will increase in every couple of years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class in order to earn an specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. Those with any of these pay levels are eligible to apply for the position of surgical technician or Medical Assistant, once they’ve completed the necessary number or years in service, and have achieved the level of promotion required.
