U.S. military pay scales serve as a principal instrument for measuring personnel pay. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps are the branches that use the scale of pay used by military personnel. Each of these branches have specific rules that define its pay scale. This includes bonuses as well as special compensation for seniority.

Also, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those who are in the Navy will be classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next level up in the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will be promoted to General and have the responsibility for the entire military and whole staff. In this position it is also possible to earn the most money per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will be able to enjoy a number of of paid annual vacation.
Pay increments at this level are based on the military index of cost of employment. This allows you to keep track of the rate of inflation of living costs. If an area has one with a high cost index, the cost of living will be expected to be much higher than when the index is lower. This results in an increase in the amount of pay paid to military personnel who are highly educated and had similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower paygrades. Officers who are in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive an upgrade to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive at this rank is determined by their actual commission rating which is usually higher than that of their real star. When they reach higher levels of the command like Colonel both commissioned, and enlisted officers can receive an upgrade to Colonel. When they are upgraded to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned are eligible for general promotion. So, officers who have prior to that been upgraded to General are eligible to receive a promotion to Vice Captain or a Major.
In addition, the salaries for Specialties will increase at least every 2 years. You must be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to the pay grade of Specialized. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these pay levels are eligible to apply for the position of surgical technician or Medical Assistant, once they’ve reached the required number to years working and have achieved the level of promotion required.
