When you reach the rank of Colonel, you become a General and will be accountable for the entire military and entire staff. In this position, you will also receive the most amounts of money per day. Higher levels will also receive a number of days of paid holidays per year.
Pay increase at this level are dependent on the military’s cost of living index. This allows you to adjust for the inflation of costs of living. In areas with an index of high value, the cost of living is expected to be more expensive than when the index is less. This can result in an increase in the compensation of military members who are educated and have who have experienced similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower pay grades. The ones who are promoted in lower pay grades get no raise.
Officers who have both in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive in this grade is determined by the commission they receive and is typically above the grade of their current star. In higher ranks of command like Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers are eligible for being promoted to Colonel. When they are upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers can be promoted to general. Also, the increments in pay for Specialties are increased every two years. It is necessary to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to a Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist.
