Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties rise every two years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your class to gain promotion to an Advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay levels may apply to become a surgical technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve reached the required number of years of service and have completed the required level of promotion.
