The next rung on the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rank is the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will be promoted to General and have the responsibility for your entire army and whole staff. As a Colonel, you will also receive the most money per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will be able to enjoy the most number of of paid time off per calendar month.
Pay increases at this rate are based on the military cost index for employment. This allows you to account for the rising in living expenses. When a region has a high index, the cost of living is predicted to be greater than when the cost Index is not high. This causes an increase in the compensation of military members who are educated and have received similar promotions and increases similar to those at lower paygrades. Those who are promoted in positions below their pay grade receive no increase.
Officers that are both commissioning and enlisted receive a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The pay they receive when they reach this level is determined by their actual commission rating which is usually higher than the level of their actual star. At higher levels of command that include Colonels, both enlisted and commissioned officers will be entitled to advancement to the rank of Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. That means, those who’ve before been promoted as a General are qualified to be promoted to a Vice Captain or a Major.
In addition, the salaries for Specialties will increase approximately every two years. You must be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to an advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay levels can apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant once they have reached the required number hours of work experience and reached the required promotion level.
