If you are promoted to higher levels, you are entitled to the most number of paid days of annual vacation.
Pay rises at this point are dependent on the cost of labor index. This is a method to adjust for the inflation in living expenses. When an area is characterized by a high index, the costs of living are expected to be greater than when the cost index is less. This will result in an increase of the compensation of military members who are highly educated . They have received similar promotions and raises similar to those of lower paygrades. Higher levels of command like Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers can receive advancement to the rank of Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned are eligible for general promotions. Therefore, those who have already been elevated to General are qualified for promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.
Also, the increments in pay for Specialties increases at least every 2 years. You need to be in the top 20 percent of your class to get promoted to an advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these pay levels can apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant after they’ve had the number hours of work experience and have attained the necessary promotion level.
