This method is used to set a basic military pay that is later applied in each branch.

They are known as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale used by the army is the First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant and others. It ranks individuals in various categories of service within the different branches that comprise the Army. For example, the lower-ranking individual’s  within their respective divisions of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve, or Officers Regular. While those with higher rank are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. Furthermore, those working in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits. Likewise, those in the Navy will be designated as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next level in the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this scale is the ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you will be promoted to General and have the responsibility for the entire military and the whole staff. At this level it is also possible to earn the highest amount of pay per day. At higher levels, will receive an increased number of of paid annual vacation.

Pay increases at this rate are based on the military cost of employment. Also, the increments in pay for Specialties are increased approximately every two years. It is necessary to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Anyone with one of these pay grade specializations are eligible to apply for the position of surgeon technician or Medical Assistant, once they’ve had the number in years served and reached the required promotion level.
