An employment cost index establishes that U.S. military pay scale called The Allowable Rate. The index is found by studying the need for enlisted personnel in permanent and permanent personnel as well as temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty military personnel. When considering these aspects, the rate is adjusted to give a rate that takes into account the strength requirements of each group to ensure that there is a sufficient number of workers. This technique is used to define a minimum military pay that is then used in every branch.

It is the U.S army has its ranking established system. Its ranks are set through the first lieutenant, and beyond and include officers like Colonels, lieutenants, sergeants, and majors. Within the army, three levels are listed from the top to the lowest through the order of the commander. They are known as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The second pay scale used within the army is the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant and the list goes on. This ranks the people working in different areas of service within the different branches of the army. For example, the lower-ranking individual’s  in that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve or Officers Regular. However, higher-ranking individuals are classified as Specialists or Officers Special. In addition, those employed in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits and those in the Navy will be regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step up the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost step is known as the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will be considered a General and will be accountable for all military personnel and the entire staff. At this rank you’ll also earn the most amounts of money per day. In higher ranks, you can expect to receive an increased number of of paid leave per month.

Pay increments at this level are determined by the military cost index for employment. This is an attempt to take into account the rise of costs of living. When an area is characterized by an index of high value, the cost of living will be expected to be significantly higher than when the cost index is low. This causes an increase in the salary of military personnel who are highly educated and who have experienced similar promotions and increments that are similar to those in lower pay levels. Personnel who are promoted to areas below their paygrade receive no additional pay.

Officers who hold both a employed and enlisted are given a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The salary they earn with this title is determined by their commission rating which is usually greater than that of their real star. At higher levels of command such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers are entitled to a promotion to a Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all officers commissioned can be promoted to general. This means that those who’ve already been elevated to General are eligible to receive a promotion to Vice Captain or a Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties increase every two years. It is necessary to be among the top 20 percent of your class in order to earn an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Anyone with one of these specialties pay grades can apply to become surgeon technician or Medical Assistant, after they’ve completed the required number in years served and have attained the necessary promotion level.
