Likewise, those who are in the Navy will be regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next step in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will be promoted to General and will be accountable for the entire military and the whole staff. As a Colonel you’ll also be able to receive the highest pay per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will be able to enjoy the most number of paid days of annual vacation.
Pay increases at this point are based on the military employment cost index. This is a way to keep track of the rate of inflation of costs of living. When an area is characterized by one with a high cost index, the cost of living is expected to be much higher than when the Index is not high. This leads to an increase in the pay for military members who have a high education and enjoyed similar promotions as well as pay increases that are comparable to those in lower pay levels. Personnel who are promoted to jobs that are not in their pay grade have no pay increase.
Officers who are both employed and enlisted are given the opportunity to be promoted to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive when they reach this level is determined by their actual commission ratings that is typically higher than the actual star. Higher ranks of command such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers are eligible for advancement to the rank of Colonel. After a promotion to Colonel, all officers commissioned are eligible for general promotion. For example, those who’ve had a previous promotion to General will be eligible for promotions to Vice Captain or Major.
The pay increases for Specialties go up in every couple of years. You need to be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to an Advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these pay grade specializations could apply to be a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant after they’ve had the number that have served in the past and attained the necessary promotion level.
