Army Pay Per Year – The U.S. Military PayScale is the standard salary scale for everyone in the military forces. U.S. military pay scales serve as a principal measure of personnel compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches using the pay scales used by the military. Each of these branches has specific provisions that determine its pay scale. This includes bonuses as well as special pay consideration for seniority.
An index of the cost of employment determines the U.S. military pay scale known as the Allowable Rate. The index is calculated by looking at the demand for enlisted troops permanently, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty soldiers. This ranks people in different fields of service in the various branches that comprise the Army. For example, those who are lower-ranked in those in the Marine Corps will be considered Officers in Reserve or Officers Regular. In contrast, upper-ranked individuals will be classified as Specialists or Officers Special. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those in the Navy will be considered Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next rung on the pay scale of the military is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is the ” Colonel”. As a Colonel, will be promoted to General and will have responsibility for all of the military and the entire staff. As a Colonel you’ll also receive the highest amount of pay per day. At higher levels, will also receive the most number of of paid time off per calendar month.
Pay increase at this level are determined by the military cost of living index. This is a method to adjust for the inflation of living costs. When an area is characterized by high cost index, the cost of living is anticipated to be more expensive than when the index is less. This leads to an increase in the salaries of military personnel who have high educational qualifications and experienced similar promotions and pay increments that are similar to those in lower pay levels. People who are promoted to jobs that are not in their pay grade get no raise.
Officers with commissioning and enlisted receive an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid when they reach this level is based on their actual commission score that is typically higher than the level of their actual star. When they reach higher levels of the command including Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers can be eligible for being promoted to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned are eligible for general promotion. Thus, those who have prior to that been upgraded to General are eligible for promotions to a Vice Captain or Major.
Also, the increments in pay for Specialties will increase at least every 2 years. You need to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to qualify for an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay levels are eligible to apply for the position of surgeon technician or Medical Assistant after they’ve reached the required number that have served in the past and attained the necessary promotion level.
