Army Pay Plan – The U.S. Military PayScale is the base salary scale for all personnel of the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as a primary assessment tool to calculate personnel compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches which use the scale of pay used by military personnel. Each branch has specific regulations that determine its pay scale. This includes bonuses, as well as special pay consideration for seniority.
An employment cost index determines how much the U.S. military pay scale known as The Allowable Rate. The index is found by looking at the requirements for enlisted employees in permanent and permanent personnel as well as temporary military retirees for 100 active duty personnel. On the other hand, those with higher ranks will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those who are in the Navy will be considered Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next step in the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rank is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will be considered a General and will be in charge of your entire army and entire staff. As a Colonel you’ll also earn the most salary per day. Higher levels can expect to receive an increased number of of paid leave per month.
Pay increments at this level are determined by the military cost of living index. This is a way to adjust for the inflation of the cost of living. When an area has one with a high cost index, the cost of living is predicted to be much more than when the index is lower. This will result in an increase of the amount of pay paid to military personnel with a higher education level and received similar promotions and raises like those in lower pay grades. Personnel who are promoted to positions below their pay grade receive no increment.
Officers with in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive an advancement to a Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid with this title is determined by their actual commission score which is usually higher than the grade of their current star. In higher ranks of command like Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers can receive an upgrade to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned will qualify for general promotion. This means that those who’ve earlier been promoted to a General are eligible for a promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.
Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties increase twice a year. You need to be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. Those with any of these pay grade specializations are eligible to apply for the position of Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant, once they’ve had the number hours of work experience and have attained the necessary promotion level.
