The index for employment costs establishes that U.S. military pay scale called the Allowable Rate. The index is calculated through examining the requirements for enlisted employees or permanent employees, as well as temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty soldiers. When considering these aspects and adjusting the rate so that it assumes the strength requirements of each of these groups to ensure a sufficient workforce. This is the method used to establish a base military pay that is used by every branch.

It is the U.S army has a ranking structure in place. Its ranks are set by the First Lieutenant and above and include officers like sergeants, lieutenants or Colonels, and majors. In the army, three levels are placed from top to bottom through the order of the commander. They are called the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The second pay scale used in the army is called the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant and the list goes on. This ranks the people working in different sectors of service in different branches in the military. For example, those who are lower-ranked within military units like the Marine Corps will be considered Officers placed in Reserve or Officers Regular. The higher-ranked ones are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, those employed in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits and those who are in the Navy are regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost step is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you will be a general and will be accountable for all of the military and the entire staff. At this level you’ll also earn the most salary per day. In higher ranks, you can expect to receive the most number of paid days of leave per month.

Pay increase at this level are based on the military cost of employment. This is an attempt to accommodate for the increase of costs of living. If a location has one with a high cost index, the cost of living is predicted to be much more than when the cost of living index is very low. This results in an increase in the salaries of military personnel who are highly educated and who have experienced similar promotions and rises as those who are in lower pay levels. Promotions in jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no increase.

Officers who hold both a an enlisted and commissioned rank get the opportunity to be promoted to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive at this rank is determined by their actual commission ratings, which is usually above the grade of their current star. Higher ranks of command including Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers are eligible for being promoted to Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers commissioned are eligible for general promotions. For example, those who’ve had a previous promotion to General will be eligible to receive a promotion to a Vice Captain or Major.

In addition, the salaries for Specialties rise  every two years. It is necessary to be among the top 20 percent of your class to qualify for a Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grade specializations could apply to be a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant once they’ve completed the necessary number or years in service, and have reached the minimum level for promotion.
