Army Pay Scale – The U.S. Military PayScale is the standard salary scale for all personnel in the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as the main assessment tool to calculate personnel compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force, as well as Marine Corps are the branches which utilize the military pay scale. The next stage in the military pay scale is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost ladder is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. As a Colonel, will be promoted to General and be responsible for all of the military and the whole staff. In this position you’ll also receive the most salary per day. At higher levels, are entitled to an increased number of paid days of leave per month.

Pay rises at this point are calculated based on the army employment cost index. This is a way to adjust for the inflation in living expenses. In areas with one with a high cost index, the cost of living is anticipated to be more expensive than when the of living index is very low. This is a reason for an increase the wages of military personnel with a higher education level and who have experienced similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower pay levels. Promotions in areas below their paygrade have no pay increase.

Officers who hold both a commissioning and enlisted receive an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid at this rank is determined by the commission they receive that is typically higher than the grade of their real star. At higher levels of command including Colonel, both commissioned, and enlisted officers will be eligible for a promotion to a Colonel. Following an upgrade to Colonel, all commissioned officers can apply for general promotions. So, officers who have already been elevated to General will be capable of being promoted to a Vice Captain or a Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties are increased approximately every two years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to a Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these specialty pay grades can apply to become Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant, after they’ve reached the required number of years of service and have reached the required promotion level.
