Army Pay Scale For Officers – The U.S. Military PayScale is the standard salary scale for everyone in the military forces. U.S. military pay scales serve as the primary gauge for determining the amount of pay. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches using the scale of pay used by military personnel. Each branch has specific rules that define its pay grade. This includes bonuses and other special pay consideration for seniority.

An employment cost index establishes this U.S. military pay scale called“the Allowable Rate. The index is determined by studying the demands for enlisted personnel as well as permanent personnel and temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty military personnel. After taking into account these factors and adjusting the rate to give a percentage that will be based on the needs of each group in order to guarantee a sufficient workforce. This method is used to determine a basic military salary which is later used in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its ranking procedure in force. Its ranks are set through the first lieutenant and above and include officers like Colonels, lieutenants, sergeants, and majors. In the army, there are three levels listed from the top to the lowest within the command chain. They are referred to as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale used in the army is called the First Major First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant and other ranks. This is a way of grading people across various specialties within the different branches of the army. The next step in the pay scale of the military is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this ladder is the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will rank as a General and will be in charge of all military personnel and the whole staff. At this level you’ll also earn the highest pay per day. In higher ranks, you are entitled to an increased number of of paid holidays per year.

Pay increases at this point are based on the military employment cost index. This is a method to adjust for the inflation of costs of living. When a region has high cost index, the cost of living is expected to be much more than when the cost index is less. This causes an increase in the wages of military personnel who have a high education and received similar promotions and raises like those in lower pay grades. The ones who are promoted in jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no increase.

Officers who are commissioned and enlisted rank receive a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid in this grade is based on the commission they receive which is usually greater than the grade of their real star. At higher levels of leadership such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers can be eligible for being promoted to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned can apply for general promotions. This means that those who’ve already been elevated to General are qualified for promotion to Vice Captain or a Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties go up approximately every two years. You need to be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to qualify for an advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grade specializations could apply to be a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant, after they’ve reached the required number that have served in the past and have achieved the level of promotion required.
