Army Pay Scale Retirement – The U.S. Military PayScale is the base salary scale of all members of the Armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as a major measurement tool for determining personnel pay. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps are the branches that use the pay scales used by the military. Each of these branches has specific laws that govern its pay scale. This includes bonuses and special compensation for seniority.

The index for employment costs establishes how much the U.S. military pay scale known as the Allowable Rate. The index is found using the requirements for enlisted employees permanently, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees for 100 active duty personnel. After taking into account these factors, the rate is adjusted in order to produce a figure that assumes the strength requirements of each group to ensure that there is a sufficient number of workers. This method is employed to create a basic military wage that is then used in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its rank method in operation. Its ranks are set at the level of the First Lieutenant and the upper levels and include officers like Colonels, lieutenants, sergeants and majors. Within the army, three levels are ranked from highest to lowest on the hierarchy of commands. They are referred to as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale employed by the army is First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant and then on. The pay scale ranks individuals across different areas of service within the different branches that comprise the Army. For example, the lower-ranking individual’s  within The Marine Corps will be considered Officers placed in Reserve or Officers Regular. In contrast, upper-ranked individuals are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, those employed in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those who are in the Navy are regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will rank as a General and will be accountable for your entire army and entire staff. At this level you’ll also earn the most pay per day. Higher levels will receive the most number of paid days of time off per calendar month.

Pay increases at this rate are determined by the military cost of employment. This is a method to adjust for the inflation in living expenses. If an area has one with a high cost index, the costs of living are expected to be greater than when the Index is not high. This will result in an increase of the wages of military personnel who have a high education and were promoted and received pay increments that are similar to those in lower pay grades. Promotions in posts below their pay grade get no raise.

Officers with an enlisted and commissioned rank get an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The salary they earn for this position is determined by their actual commission ratings, which is usually above the grade of their real star. Higher levels of command including Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers are entitled to a promotion to a Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. That means, those who’ve prior to that been upgraded to a General will be capable of being promoted to a Vice Captain or Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties go up at least every 2 years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to an specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these pay grades can apply to become Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant when they’ve reached the minimum number that have served in the past and have reached the minimum level for promotion.
