Army Reserve Enlisted Pay Scale – The U.S. Military PayScale is the standard salary scale used by all personnel in the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as a major measure of personnel compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps are the branches using the military pay scale. The next step up the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this level is called the ” Colonel”. As a Colonel, will be promoted to General and will be in charge of your entire army and whole staff. As a Colonel, you will also receive the highest amount of pay per day. In higher ranks, you will be able to enjoy an increased number of paid days of annual vacation.
Pay increases at this level are in accordance with the military’s employment cost index. This allows you to account for the rising of the cost of living. If an area has an index that is high, the costs of living are expected to be greater than when the of living index is very low. This can result in an increase in the compensation of military members who have a high education and received similar promotions and raises similar to those of lower pay levels. Personnel who are promoted to areas below their paygrade are not given a raise.
Officers who have both commissioned and enlisted rank receive an advancement to a Warrant Officer. The pay they receive in this grade is determined by their commission rating which is usually higher than the rank of their actual star. At higher levels of command such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers are entitled to a promotion to a Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned are eligible for general promotions. Thus, those who have before been promoted as General are eligible to receive a promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.
The pay increases for Specialties are increased at least every 2 years. You must be in the top twenty percent of your class to gain promotion to an Advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grades are eligible to apply for the position of surgical technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve completed the required number in years served and attained the necessary promotion level.
