An employment cost index establishes what is known as the U.S. military pay scale called“Allowable Rate. The index is found through the analysis of the amount of enlisted members or permanent employees, as well as temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty soldiers. After considering these factors it is then adjusted to give a rate that will be based on the needs of each of these groups to ensure that there is a sufficient number of workers. This is the method used to define a minimum military pay that is then used in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its ranking procedure in force. Its ranks are set in the hands of the First Lieutenant, and beyond and comprise officers such as Colonels, lieutenants, sergeants, and majors. Within the army, three levels are ranked from highest to lowest within the command chain. They are called the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The second pay scale used in the army is called the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, and the list goes on. This ranks the people working in different areas of service within the various branches of the army. For instance, people with lower ranks within those in the Marine Corps will be considered Officers in Reserve or Officers Regular. On the other hand, those with higher ranks are classified as Specialists or Officers Special. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those in the Navy will be considered Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next level up in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost ladder is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you will be a general and will have responsibility for your entire army and entire staff. In this position you’ll also be able to receive the most salary per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you are entitled to the most number of paid days of vacation per month.

Pay increases at this level are based on the military cost of employment. This is a method to accommodate for the increase of the cost of living. When an area has an index that is high, the cost of living is likely to be significantly higher than when the cost of living index is very low. This results in an increase in the salary of military personnel who are educated and have received similar promotions and rises as those who are in lower pay levels. Promotions in the lower ranks of their pay get no raise.

Officers who hold both a employed and enlisted are given an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The salary they earn for this position is based on their actual commission ratings which is usually greater than the rank of their actual star. At higher levels of command like Colonel, both commissioned, and enlisted officers will be eligible for promotions to Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers commissioned will qualify for general promotion. Therefore, those who have before been promoted as a General are qualified to be promoted to a Vice Captain or Major.

Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties increase  every two years. It is necessary to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to qualify for an specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grades can apply to become Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant once they’ve completed the required number of years of service and have attained the necessary promotion level.
