The next level in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost scale is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you become a General and be responsible for the entire military and whole staff. At this level you’ll also be able to receive the most money per day. As you progress, you can expect to receive an increased number of days of paid holidays per year.
Pay increases at this level are based on the military employment cost index. This allows you to account for the rising in living expenses. In areas with an index that is high, the cost of living will be expected to be much higher than when the cost of living index is very low. This results in an increase in the salary of military personnel who have high educational qualifications and who have experienced similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower pay grades. People who are promoted to the lower ranks of their pay are not given a raise.
Officers who hold both a in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The salary they earn in this grade is based on the actual rating of their commission that is typically higher than that of their real star. At higher levels of leadership such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers will be eligible for the rank of Colonel. When they are upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers can be promoted to general. So, officers who have before been promoted as General will be eligible for promotions to Vice Captain or Major.
Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties rise in every couple of years. It is necessary to be in the top twenty percent of your class to be promoted to a Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these pay levels can apply to become surgeon technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve reached the required number of years of service and have completed the required level of promotion.
