Army Reserve Pay Codes – The U.S. Military PayScale is the standard salary scale used by all members of the Armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as the main gauge for determining the amount of pay. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches that employ the scale of pay used by military personnel. Each of these branches have specific requirements that determine their pay grade. This includes bonuses and special compensation for seniority.

A cost of employment index is this U.S. military pay scale known as The Allowable Rate. The index is found through examining the demands for enlisted personnel as well as permanent and temporary military retirees for 100 active duty personnel. After considering these factors and adjusting the rate to give a rate that takes into account the strength requirements of each of these groups to ensure a sufficient workforce. For example, lower-ranked individuals within that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers in Reserve or Officers Regular. However, higher-ranking individuals will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those who are in the Navy are regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the military pay scale is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost level is called the ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you will be promoted to General and will oversee your entire army and whole staff. As a Colonel you’ll also earn the most salary per day. Higher levels can expect to receive a number of of paid leave per month.

Pay increases at this rate are dependent on the military’s index of cost of employment. This is an attempt to adjust for the inflation of costs of living. In areas with an index that is high, then the cost of living is predicted to be greater than when the cost index is lower. This leads to an increase in the salary of military personnel who are highly educated and had similar promotions and rises as those who are in lower pay levels. Personnel who are promoted to posts below their pay grade receive no additional pay.

Officers that are both commissioning and enlisted receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid for this position is determined by their actual commission score which is usually greater than the actual star. At higher levels of leadership such as Colonel both enlisted and commissioned officers are entitled to an upgrade to Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all officers commissioned are eligible for general promotions. This means that those who’ve earlier been promoted to a General will be qualified to be promoted to Vice Captain or a Major.

Also, the increments in pay for Specialties go up in every couple of years. It is necessary to be in the top 20 percent of your class in order to earn an Advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these specialty paygrades can apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant, after they’ve had the number hours of work experience and have completed the required level of promotion.
