An index of cost of employment establishes the U.S. military pay scale called“Allowed” Rate. The index is found through examining the demand for enlisted personnel in permanent and permanent personnel as well as temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty personnel. After considering these factors and adjusting the rate to give a rate that is based on the requirements for strength of each group to guarantee an adequate workforce. This method is employed to establish a base military pay that is used by every branch.

It is the U.S army has a ranking procedure in force. The ranks are established from the rank of First Lieutenant, and beyond and include officers like sergeants, lieutenants and Colonels and majors. In the army, three levels are in order from highest to lowest within the command chain. They are referred to as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale that is utilized within the army is the First Major First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, and other ranks. The pay scale ranks individuals across different sectors of service in various wings in the military. For example, the lower-ranking individual’s  within The Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve, or Officers Regular. For those who are higher-ranked, they will be classified as Specialists or Officers Special. Also, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those who are in the Navy will be regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the pay scale of the military is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost ladder is the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will rank as a General and will have responsibility for your entire army and whole staff. At this rank you’ll also receive the most pay per day. In higher ranks, you will be able to enjoy a number of of paid annual vacation.

Pay increases at this point are calculated based on the army index of cost of employment. This is a reason for an increase the wages of military personnel with a higher education level and experienced similar promotions and pay increases that are comparable to those in lower paygrades. Personnel who are promoted to positions below their pay grade receive no additional pay.

The amount they are paid for this position is determined by their actual commission ratings that is typically higher than the rank of their actual star. At higher levels of command like Colonel both enlisted and commissioned officers can receive promotions to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all commissioned officers are eligible for general promotions. Thus, those who have earlier been promoted to General will be eligible for a promotion to Vice Captain or Major.
