As you progress, you will receive a number of paid days of leave per month.
Pay rises at this point are dependent on the cost of living index. This is a method to take into account the rise of the cost of living. In areas with an index of high value, the cost of living is predicted to be much more than when the Index is not high. This can result in an increase in the pay for military members who have a high education and enjoyed similar promotions as well as pay rises as those who are in lower paygrades. Promotions in positions below their pay grade receive no additional pay.
Officers that are both commissioned and enlisted rank receive promotions to Warrant Officer. Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties go up every two years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. Those with any of these pay grade specializations may apply to become a surgical technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve had the number or years in service, and have achieved the level of promotion required.
