U.S. military pay scales are used as a major measurement tool for determining personnel pay. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches which use the military pay scale. Each of these branches have specific laws that govern its pay grade. This includes bonuses, as well as special payment considerations for seniors.

Additionally, those who are in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those who are in the Navy will be designated as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next step up the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you are a general and will be in charge of all military personnel and the entire staff. At this rank, you will also receive the most money per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will also receive the most number of of paid vacation per month.
Pay increments at this level are dependent on the cost of living index. This is a way to keep track of the rate of inflation of living expenses. If an area has high cost index, the cost of living is predicted to be much more than when the of living index is very low. This can result in an increase in the compensation of military members with a higher education level and had similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in the lower ranks of their pay get no raise.
Officers who are commissioned and enlisted rank receive the opportunity to be promoted to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive when they reach this level is determined by their actual commission score that is typically higher than that of their real star. Higher levels of command like Colonel both commissioned, and enlisted officers are eligible for promotions to Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers are eligible for general promotion. So, officers who have earlier been promoted to General will be qualified to be promoted to Vice Captain or Major.
The pay increases for Specialties increases twice a year. You must be in the top twenty percent of your class to gain promotion to an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these pay levels are eligible to apply for the position of surgical technician, or Medical Assistant once they’ve reached the required number to years working and completed the required level of promotion.
