The next step up the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rung is known as the ” Colonel”. When you reach the rank of Colonel, you will be promoted to General and will oversee the entire military and the whole staff. At this rank, you will also receive the most amounts of money per day. In higher ranks, you will be able to enjoy an increased number of days of paid holidays per year.
Pay increments at this level are in accordance with the military’s cost index for employment. This allows you to take into account the rise of costs of living. In areas with one with a high cost index, the cost of living will be expected to be much higher than when the index is less. This leads to an increase in the salary of military personnel who have high educational qualifications and were promoted and received pay increments that are similar to those in lower pay grades. Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties go up approximately every two years. You must be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to a Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these specialties pay grades could apply to be a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve reached the required number of years of service and achieved the level of promotion required.
