Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches using the scale of pay used by military personnel. This method is used in order to set a basic military pay which is later used in every branch.

For example, the lower-ranking individual’s  in The Marine Corps will be considered Officers placed in Reserve or Officers Regular. While those with higher rank will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. Additionally, those who are in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, and those in the Navy will be regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step in the pay scale of the military is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost step is known as the ” Colonel”. In the Colonel rank, you will be considered a General and be responsible for the entire military as well as the whole staff. At this rank, you will also receive the highest pay per day. At higher levels, will be able to enjoy the most number of days of paid holiday per month.

Pay increments at this level are based on the military index of cost of employment. This is a way to reflect the increasing of living costs. In areas with an index that is high, the costs of living are expected to be higher than when the index falls. This is a reason for an increase the pay for military members who have a high education and experienced similar promotions and pay rises as those who are in lower pay grades. For those who have promotions in jobs that are not in their pay grade are not given a raise.

Officers who have both employed and enlisted are given an upgrade to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive with this title is based on their commission rating and is typically above that of their real star. At higher levels of leadership such as Colonel both enlisted and commissioned officers are eligible for advancement to the rank of Colonel. After a promotion to Colonel, all commissioned officers can be promoted to general. For example, those who’ve before been promoted as General are eligible for promotions to Vice Captain or a Major.

In addition, the salaries for Specialties are increased every two years. You must be among the top 20 percent of your class to qualify for a Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these pay levels are eligible to apply for the position of surgeon technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve reached the minimum number to years working and have completed the required level of promotion.
