Following an upgrade to Colonel, all commissioned officers will qualify for general promotion. For example, those who’ve already been elevated to General will be eligible for a promotion to Vice Captain or Major.
In addition, the salaries for Specialties are increased every two years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your class to qualify for an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist.
