An index of cost of employment establishes this U.S. military pay scale called The Allowable Rate. The index is calculated by looking at the need for enlisted personnel permanently, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty personnel. When considering these aspects then the rate is adjusted so that it will be based on the needs of each of these groups to ensure that there is a sufficient number of workers. This technique is used to set a basic military pay that is then applied to every branch.

It is the U.S army has its own ranking method in operation. Its ranks are set through the first lieutenant or above and comprise officers such as sergeants, lieutenants and Colonels, and majors. Within the army, there are three levels placed from top to bottom at the bottom of the rank chain. They are known as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale employed by the army is First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant and other ranks. These pay scales rank people in various categories of service within the different wings of the army. For example, individuals with lower rank within those in the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve, or Officers Regular. On the other hand, those with higher ranks will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. Also, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those who are in the Navy will be considered Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next stage in the pay scale of the military is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. As a Colonel, become a General and will have responsibility for your entire army and entire staff. At this rank it is also possible to earn the most pay per day. In higher ranks, you can expect to receive an increased number of paid days of leave per month.

Pay increase at this level are calculated based on the army cost index for employment. This is an attempt to keep track of the rate of inflation of living costs. When an area is characterized by high cost index, the cost of living will be expected to be greater than when the Index is not high. This causes an increase in the wages of military personnel who are highly educated . They have were promoted and received pay raises like those in lower pay grades. People who are promoted to positions below their pay grade receive no increment.

Officers with in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid at this rank is determined by their actual commission ratings that is generally higher than the grade of their current star. At higher levels of leadership including Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers will be eligible for being promoted to Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all commissioned officers will qualify for general promotion. Therefore, those who have already been elevated to General will be capable of being promoted to a Vice Captain or Major.

Also, the increments in pay for Specialties go up every two years. You must be among the top 20 percent of your class to gain promotion to the pay grade of Specialized. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Anyone with one of these pay grades may apply to become a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve reached the minimum number to years working and completed the required level of promotion.
