Higher levels are entitled to an increased number of paid days of annual vacation.
Pay rises at this point are calculated based on the army cost index for employment. This is an attempt to reflect the increasing of living expenses. When an area is characterized by high cost index, the cost of living is expected to be greater than when the cost of living index is very low. This causes an increase in the salaries of military personnel who are highly educated . They have were promoted and received pay increases that are comparable to those in lower paygrades. Those who are promoted in areas below their paygrade receive no additional pay.
Officers who have both employed and enlisted are given an advancement to a Warrant Officer. The pay they receive in this grade is based on their actual commission rating which is usually greater than that of their real star. When they reach higher levels of the command including Colonel, both commissioned and enlisted officers are entitled to promotions to Colonel. Following an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned are eligible for general promotion. For example, those who’ve already been elevated to a General will be qualified to be promoted to a Vice Captain or a Major.
Also, the increments in pay for Specialties increase every two years. You need to be in the top twenty percent of your class to qualify for an Advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these pay grade specializations can apply to become Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant, once they’ve completed the required number or years in service, and completed the required level of promotion.
