A cost of employment index is an U.S. military pay scale called the Allowable Rate. The index is determined by studying the requirements for enlisted employees in permanent and permanent personnel as well as temporary military retirees per 100 active duty personnel. After considering these parameters to determine the appropriate rate, it is adjusted to give a percentage that assumes the strength requirements of each group to ensure an adequate workforce. This technique is used to fix a basic rate of military pay that is then used in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its ranking structure in place. The ranks are decided through the first lieutenant and up and comprise officers such as sergeants, lieutenants (colonels), lieutenants, and majors. In the army, there are three levels ranked from highest to lowest to the top of the line of command. They are referred to as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale that is utilized by the army is the First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, and others. The pay scale ranks individuals across different sectors of service in different branches of the army. For example, the lower-ranking individual’s  within military units like the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve, or Officers Regular. While those with higher rank are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those in the Navy will be considered Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. In the Colonel rank, you will be promoted to General and will be in charge of your entire army and whole staff. In this position it is also possible to earn the most salary per day. In higher ranks, you can expect to receive the most number of days of paid holiday per month.

Pay increases at this level are calculated based on the army cost of living index. This is an attempt to accommodate for the increase of living costs. In areas with an index of high value, the costs of living are expected to be significantly higher than when the cost index is low. This will result in an increase of the compensation of military members who are educated and have experienced similar promotions and pay increases that are comparable to those in lower pay grades. The ones who are promoted in the lower ranks of their pay are not given a raise.

Officers who hold both a an enlisted and commissioned rank get the opportunity to be promoted to Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid at this rank is determined by the actual rating of their commission that is generally higher than the actual star. When they reach higher levels of the command like Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers will be entitled to a promotion to a Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. For example, those who’ve already been elevated to General will be eligible to receive a promotion to Vice Captain or Major.

Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties will increase at least every 2 years. You must be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to be promoted to a Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialty paygrades may apply to become a surgical technician, or Medical Assistant after they have reached the required number of years of service and have reached the appropriate promotion level.
