Military Medical Pay Scale – The U.S. Military PayScale is the standard salary scale used by all personnel in the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as the main assessment tool to calculate personnel compensation. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches that use the scale of pay used by military personnel. Each of these branches has specific regulations that determine its pay grade. These include bonuses and compensation for seniority.

An employment cost index establishes this U.S. military pay scale called“Allowable Rate. The index is found by analyzing the demand for enlisted personnel permanently, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty military personnel. After taking into account these factors then the rate is adjusted so that it considers the strength requirements of each group to ensure an adequate workforce. This method is used to define a minimum military pay that is then used in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its rank structure in place. The ranks are established through the first lieutenant and up and comprise officers such as sergeants, lieutenants and Colonels, and majors. Within the army, three levels are ranked from highest to lowest at the bottom of the rank chain. They are called the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale employed within the army are the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, and further on. This ranks the people working in different areas of service within the different wings that comprise the Army. For example, individuals with lower rank within that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers in Reserve or Officers Regular. However, higher-ranking individuals will be classified as Specialists or Officers Special. Also, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those who are in the Navy will be considered Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the pay scale of the military is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. In the Colonel rank, you are a general and will be accountable for the entire military and the whole staff. In this position you’ll also receive the highest pay per day. In higher ranks, you will also receive the most number of paid days of vacation per month.

Pay rises at this point are dependent on the employment cost index. This is a method to accommodate for the increase of living expenses. When an area has a high index, the cost of living is expected to be higher than when the cost index is less. This leads to an increase in the salaries of military personnel who are highly educated and who have experienced similar promotions and raises similar to those of lower paygrades. The ones who are promoted in positions below their pay grade are not given a raise.

Officers that are both an enlisted and commissioned rank get an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The pay they receive with this title is based on their actual commission rating which is usually greater than the grade of their real star. Higher levels of command such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers can receive advancement to the rank of Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned are eligible for general promotions. So, officers who have prior to that been upgraded to General are eligible for promotions to a Vice Captain or a Major.

Also, the increments in pay for Specialties increases approximately every two years. It is necessary to be in the top 20 percent of your class in order to earn the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these specialties pay grades may apply to become a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve completed the necessary number to years working and achieved the level of promotion required.
