Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers will be eligible for general promotion. Thus, those who have before been promoted as a General are eligible for promotions to Vice Captain or a Major.
Also, the increments in pay for Specialties increases twice a year. You must be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to be promoted to a Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist.
