The U.S army has its ranking process in place. Its ranks are set in the hands of the First Lieutenant, and beyond and comprise officers such as Lieutenants, Colonels, sergeants and majors. In the army, there are three levels ranked from highest to lowest at the bottom of the rank chain. They are known as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

These pay scales rank people in various specialties within the different wings in the military. For example, individuals with lower rank within the Marine Corps will be considered Officers in Reserve or Officers Regular. As you progress, you are entitled to a number of paid days of leave per month.
Pay increases at this level are in accordance with the military’s cost of employment. This is an attempt to account for the rising of living expenses. In areas with one with a high cost index, the cost of living will be expected to be more expensive than when the cost index is low. This will result in an increase of the compensation of military members who are educated and have experienced similar promotions and pay increases that are comparable to those in lower pay grades. Personnel who are promoted to jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no increment.
Officers who hold both a engaged and commissioned receive an advancement to a Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid when they reach this level is determined by their actual commission score that is generally higher than the actual star. At higher levels of leadership, such as Colonel, both commissioned, and enlisted officers will be eligible for the rank of Colonel. After a promotion to Colonel, all officers commissioned can be promoted to general. This means that those who’ve prior to that been upgraded to a General will be eligible for a promotion to Vice Captain or a Major.
Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties increases every two years. You must be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class in order to earn an Advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grades could apply to be a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant, after they have reached the required number to years working and have achieved the level of promotion required.
