An index of cost of employment establishes how much the U.S. military pay scale called“allowable” Rate. The index is calculated by studying the demands for enlisted personnel, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty military personnel. After analyzing these elements then the rate is adjusted to provide a rate that takes into account the strength requirements for each group in order to guarantee a sufficient workforce. This method is used to fix a basic rate of military pay that is later applied in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its own ranking structure in place. The ranks are established at the level of the First Lieutenant or above and include officers like sergeants, lieutenants or Colonels, and majors. In the army, three levels are in order from highest to lowest at the bottom of the rank chain. They are referred to as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

Another pay scale utilized in the army is First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant and further on. This ranks the people working in different sectors of service in different branches of the army. For instance, people with lower ranks within the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve or Officers Regular. The higher-ranked ones are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. Also, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those in the Navy will be classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will be promoted to General and will oversee the entire military as well as the whole staff. In this position you’ll also receive the highest amount of pay per day. At higher levels, you can expect to receive an increased number of of paid holiday per month.

Pay increments at this level are determined by the military cost index for employment. This is a method to account for the rising of living expenses. If a location has one with a high cost index, the cost of living is anticipated to be greater than when the cost index is lower. This results in an increase in the compensation of military members who are highly educated and had similar promotions and raises similar to those of lower paygrades. For those who have promotions in areas below their paygrade get no raise.

Officers who are both commissioning and enlisted receive a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The salary they earn at this rank is determined by their commission rating and is typically above the grade of their current star. At higher levels of leadership including Colonel, both enlisted and commissioned officers are eligible for advancement to the rank of Colonel. Following an upgrade to Colonel, all commissioned officers will be eligible for general promotion. For example, those who’ve already been elevated to General will be capable of being promoted to Vice Captain or a Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties rise  every two years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to qualify for an specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grades may apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant after they’ve had the number in years served and completed the required level of promotion.
