In addition, the salaries for Specialties increases approximately every two years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class in order to earn an Advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Those with any of these pay grade specializations may apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant after they’ve completed the necessary number hours of work experience and have reached the required promotion level.
