Pay rises at this point are dependent on the cost of labor index. This is a way to keep track of the rate of inflation in living expenses. When a region has an index of high value, the cost of living is anticipated to be much more than when the cost index is low. In addition, the salaries for Specialties go up twice a year. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class in order to earn the pay grade of Specialized. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialties pay grades are eligible to apply for the position of surgical technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve had the number or years in service, and achieved the level of promotion required.
