The next rung on the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this ladder is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will be considered a General and will be in charge of the entire military and whole staff. In this position, you will also receive the most salary per day. At higher levels, will be able to enjoy an increased number of days of paid holiday per month.

Pay increments at this level are dependent on the military’s employment cost index. This is a way to accommodate for the increase of costs of living. When a region has one with a high cost index, the cost of living is anticipated to be higher than when the index is less. This results in an increase in the pay for military members who are highly educated and enjoyed similar promotions as well as pay raises like those in lower paygrades. Promotions in areas below their paygrade receive no increase.

Officers who hold both a in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive the opportunity to be promoted to Warrant Officer. In addition, the salaries for Specialties go up  every two years. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to an specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay levels can apply to become a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant, once they’ve completed the necessary number hours of work experience and have reached the appropriate promotion level.
