Another factor in a servicemen’s pay grade is the amount of money he or she is paid. The longer someone has been in the service, the higher his or her pay grade will be. The majority of enlisted personnel will begin their parade at the lowest pay grade level and work their way up until they reach the top of the enlisted pay grade chart. The more years someone has been in the service, the higher-paying jobs they may qualify for.
All servicemen need to understand how their pay grade ranks in the Navy or the Marine Corps.
