The index for employment costs establishes the U.S. military pay scale known as“Allowed” Rate. The index is found through the analysis of the need for enlisted personnel, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty soldiers. After considering these parameters, the rate is adjusted to create a figure that takes into account the strength requirements for each group to ensure that there is a sufficient number of workers. This process is used to fix a basic rate of military pay that is later applied in each branch.

It is the U.S army has its rank process in place. The ranks are decided in the hands of the First Lieutenant and higher and comprise officers such as Lieutenants, Colonels, sergeants and majors. In the army, three levels are ordered from the top to the bottom within the command chain. They are referred to as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

Another pay scale utilized within the army are the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, and then on. This ranks people in different specialties within the various wings in the military. For example, those who are lower-ranked within that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve, or Officers Regular. For those who are higher-ranked, they are classified as Specialists or Officers Special. Furthermore, those working in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those in the Navy will be designated as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next stage in the military pay scale is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you are a general and be responsible for all of the military and the whole staff. In this position it is also possible to earn the most money per day. At higher levels, can expect to receive an increased number of paid days of leave per month.

Pay increases at this level are calculated based on the army employment cost index. This is a way to adjust for the inflation in living expenses. When an area has a high index, the cost of living is expected to be much higher than when the cost Index is not high. This can result in an increase in the amount of pay paid to military personnel who have a high education and experienced similar promotions and pay raises like those in lower paygrades. Those who are promoted in positions below their pay grade have no pay increase.

Officers who have both commissioning and enlisted receive an advancement to a Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid as a Warrant Officer is based on their actual commission ratings and is typically above the grade of their real star. At higher levels of command that include Colonels, both enlisted and commissioned officers are entitled to advancement to the rank of Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all officers commissioned can apply for general promotions. Thus, those who have prior to that been upgraded to a General will be eligible for a promotion to a Vice Captain or Major.

Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties rise every two years. You must be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to the pay grade of Specialized. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Anyone with one of these specialty paygrades may apply to become a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant when they’ve had the number hours of work experience and achieved the level of promotion required.
