For example, lower-ranked individuals within their respective divisions of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve or Officers Regular. The higher-ranked ones are classified as Specialists or Officers Special. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits and those in the Navy will be classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next stage in the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. When you reach the rank of Colonel, you become a General and be responsible for the entire military as well as the entire staff. At this level it is also possible to earn the most money per day. In higher ranks, you will also receive an increased number of of paid holidays per year.

Pay increments at this level are calculated based on the army employment cost index. Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties will increase every two years. It is necessary to be in the top twenty percent of your enlistment class in order to earn the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. Individuals who hold any of these pay levels can apply to become Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant, after they’ve reached the minimum number hours of work experience and have completed the required level of promotion.
