This is a reason for an increase the salary of military personnel who are highly educated . They have had similar promotions and increases similar to those at lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in areas below their paygrade receive no additional pay.
Officers who are employed and enlisted are given promotions to Warrant Officer. The salary they earn for this position is based on the actual rating of their commission, which is usually above the rank of their actual star. In higher ranks of command like Colonel both commissioned, and enlisted officers can be eligible for the rank of Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned can apply for general promotions. So, officers who have previously been promoted to a General are eligible for promotions to Vice Captain or a Major.
In addition, the salaries for Specialties will increase at least every 2 years. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your class to gain promotion to the pay grade of Specialized. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these specialty pay grades are eligible to apply for the position of surgical technician or Medical Assistant, after they’ve had the number or years in service, and achieved the level of promotion required.
