The U.S army has its rank system in place. The ranks are determined at the level of the First Lieutenant, and beyond and comprise officers such as Colonels, lieutenants, sergeants and majors. Within the army, there are three levels ranked from highest to lowest on the hierarchy of commands. They are known as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The higher-ranked ones will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those in the Navy will be classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next level in the pay scale of the military is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rank is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you will be promoted to General and will be in charge of all military personnel and the whole staff. In this position you’ll also earn the most amounts of money per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will also receive the most number of of paid annual vacation.
Pay increases at this level are dependent on the cost index for employment. This is an attempt to accommodate for the increase of the cost of living. When an area has an index that is high, then the cost of living is likely to be significantly higher than when the cost of living index is very low. This can result in an increase in the salary of military personnel who have high educational qualifications and who have experienced similar promotions and increases similar to those at lower pay levels. People who are promoted to posts below their pay grade receive no increment.
Officers with in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive the opportunity to be promoted to Warrant Officer. The salary they earn when they reach this level is based on their commission rating and is typically above the actual star. Higher levels of command like Colonel, both commissioned, and enlisted officers can receive promotions to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned can be promoted to general. This means that those who’ve already been elevated to a General are eligible to receive a promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.
The pay increases for Specialties increase every two years. It is necessary to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to an Advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grade specializations could apply to be a Surgical Technician, or a Medical Assistant after they’ve completed the necessary number hours of work experience and completed the required level of promotion.
