Each of these branches have specific provisions that determine its pay scale. This includes bonuses and other special compensation for seniority.

An index of cost of employment establishes how much the U.S. military pay scale known as“allowable” Rate. The index is calculated by studying the demand for enlisted troops in permanent and permanent personnel as well as temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty soldiers. After considering these factors The rate is then adjusted so that it will be based on the needs for each group to guarantee an adequate workforce. This method is employed to define a minimum military pay that is later applied in every branch.

The U.S army has its ranking procedure in force. The ranks are determined at the level of the First Lieutenant or above and include officers like sergeants, lieutenants (colonels), lieutenants, and majors. In the army, there are three levels classified from the highest to the lowest to the top of the line of command. They are referred to as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale used by the army is the First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, and so on. These pay scales rank people in various fields of service in the various branches that comprise the Army. For instance, those with lower ranks in The Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve or Officers Regular. For those who are higher-ranked, they will be classified as Specialists or Officers Special. Also, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those who are in the Navy are regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next level in the pay scale for military personnel is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost level is called the ” Colonel”. As a Colonel, will be considered a General and will have responsibility for all of the military and the entire staff. At this level you’ll also be able to receive the most money per day. At higher levels, you are entitled to the most number of paid days of vacation per month.

Pay increases at this rate are dependent on the military’s cost of labor index. This is an attempt to reflect the increasing in living expenses. When an area is characterized by an index that is high, the cost of living will be expected to be much higher than when the index is lower. This results in an increase in the salary of military personnel who have a high education and who have experienced similar promotions and rises as those who are in lower pay grades. Those who are promoted in jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no additional pay.

Officers with commissioned and enlisted rank receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The pay they receive when they reach this level is based on their commission rating, which is usually above the actual star. At higher levels of leadership such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers can receive a promotion to a Colonel. Following an upgrade to Colonel, all commissioned officers can apply for general promotions. For example, those who’ve had a previous promotion to a General will be qualified for promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.

The pay increases for Specialties increase at least every 2 years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to gain promotion to the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these specialty pay grades could apply to be a surgical technician, or Medical Assistant, once they’ve completed the required number that have served in the past and have reached the appropriate promotion level.
