If you are promoted to higher levels, you can expect to receive the most number of days of paid annual vacation.
Pay increments at this level are dependent on the military’s cost of employment. This is an attempt to reflect the increasing of the cost of living. Also, the increments in pay for Specialties go up every two years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your class to be promoted to an advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Anyone with one of these specialties pay grades are eligible to apply for the position of surgeon technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve had the number in years served and reached the appropriate promotion level.
