Military Pay – The U.S. Military PayScale is the base salary scale for all personnel of the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as a major measurement tool for determining personnel pay. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps are the branches that utilize the military pay scale. Each branch has specific laws that govern its pay scale. This includes bonuses and other special pay consideration for seniority.
An employment cost index determines that U.S. military pay scale known as“allowable” Rate. The index is found by looking at the amount of enlisted members as well as permanent personnel and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty soldiers. While those with higher rank will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, those in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits and those in the Navy are regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next step up the pay scale of the military is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rank is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you will be promoted to General and will be accountable for all of the military and the entire staff. As a Colonel you’ll also be able to receive the most amounts of money per day. At higher levels, will be able to enjoy the most number of days of paid leave per month.
Pay increases at this level are in accordance with the military’s cost of labor index. This allows you to accommodate for the increase of living costs. In areas with high cost index, the cost of living is likely to be more expensive than when the index falls. This will result in an increase of the pay for military members with a higher education level and who have experienced similar promotions and increments that are similar to those in lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no additional pay.
Officers who have both commissioned and enlisted rank receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid in this grade is based on the commission they receive that is generally higher than the grade of their current star. Higher ranks of command such as Colonel both commissioned, and enlisted officers are entitled to a promotion to a Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all officers commissioned can apply for general promotions. This means that those who’ve earlier been promoted to a General will be eligible to receive a promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.
Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties increase at least every 2 years. You have to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to be promoted to a Specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. Those with any of these specialties pay grades can apply to become a surgical technician or Medical Assistant when they have reached the required number that have served in the past and have reached the appropriate promotion level.
