The next stage in the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rung is known as the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will rank as a General and have the responsibility for the entire military and entire staff. As a Colonel it is also possible to earn the highest pay per day. Higher levels will also receive a number of paid days of vacation per month.
Pay increase at this level are determined by the military cost of employment. This allows you to account for the rising in living expenses.
